Oh, how I love pasta. Even the GF-version is pretty awesome, since I have been told that it tastes almost the same as normal pasta. Sadly enough, it’s almost impossible to find a good restaurant where you eat a nice plate of GF-pasta, let alone that they have reasonable pricing.
Well, I found just the thing for that. About two weeks ago, me and my dad, who came to visit me in Amsterdam, went to this awesome place called Spaghetteria. Located in  the fancy Amsterdam-Zuid, you might expect some hyperfancy-looking restaurant where prices are jaw-dropping high. None of that, luckily for us. Spaghetteria is small, there is just enough room for some high tables placed against the windows (nice if you want to look at the ever-busy Van Woustraat), and one enourmeous dinner-table in the center. Therefore, if you want to eat here, you’ll have to sit next to people you might not even know – which is great for starting a conversation. It feels just like you’re part of a big Italian family, where everyone enjoys their excellent pasta together.
Because excellent it is. Spaghetteria only offers 6 different meals and 2 types of dessert, but everything looks, smells and tastes just as good. Dinner is served the Italian way: just a fork to eat your pasta with, no spoons or knives (I suppose you can get one if you ask for it, of course. I didn’t do that, though.) The waiters (all male) are more than friendly and as I mentioned earlier: their prices are really sweet, so no ugly surprises when you ask for the check.
One little thing, though: you can’t make a reservation here. Because the place is so small, you might consider coming early. Unless you don’t mind waiting a little bit, of course – which won’t be a burden, since everyone is really friendly. Also, if you live in Amsterdam-West and don’t want to take the trouble travelling to Zuid, that’s okay too: they have another restaurant, with the same formula, in the Jan Hanzenstraat.
